BIOGRAPHY
Born in Lower Manhattan and raised in Plainsboro, NJ, Kristen Kane (she/her) is an actor, singer, and dancer based in New York City.
Kristen grew up singing and playing piano at the age of 7 years old. She started out participating in local choirs and then slowly gained the confidence to sing on her own. She has had training from a variety of different programs and teachers throughout her life. Most notably, she has worked closely with Ryan Scott Oliver and Lindsay Mendez's Actor Therapy team. She currently studies with Mike Maixner with the Matt Farnsworth Vocal Studios!
Kristen has performed in numerous regional productions including Hairspray, Oklahoma, Sister Act, Godspell, Heathers the Musical, and more. Kristen is grateful to have been nominated for a BroadwayWorld award for her performance as Martha Dunnstock in Heathers the Musical at the White Plains Performing Arts Center along with other local nominations at her childhood community theatre.
As an avid Netflix-binger, Kristen loves to watch new and creative tv shows, movies, and documentaries. She enjoys all forms of entertainment and all facets of the theatre world, including Tik Tok! Kristen has gained experience teaching voice to up and coming singers in the tri-state area, as well as stage managing for various local productions.
In her spare time she loves to spend time with family, friends, and her wonderful fiancé. There is never a day when you will not find her singing around the house, or trying to make people laugh with her terrible, corny jokes.
In 2018 Kristen finished up touring the country with the 2nd National Tour of "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder". In September of 2021, she was last seen as Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act at Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre in beautiful Arrow Rock, Missouri!
